《The 100-mile Walk: A Father And Son on a Quest to Find the Essence of Leadership》

这本书讲的也是Leadership相关的东西，不过是以两个不同的人的角度出发来探讨同一个问题，就是题目所说的“Father and Son“。这不是一本故事书，不过也是以两父子的故事为开头，两个人决定走这100 mile的旅程，然后在旅程中探讨关于Leadership领导能力的话题，因为包含了两个不同年龄阶段的人对同一问题的看法，所以这本书不像普通的书那样像你吹嘘怎样才能成为成功的领导者，而是就Sander（Father）提出的九个“P”分别发表自己的看法，没有说谁对谁错，留给大家的只是一个思考而已。因此，我也不准备具体概括这里面各章的内容了（书里面每章都有一个Checklist作为纲要），只列出九个“P”给大家思考一下，形成自己的看法。

1st P - People: When ideas lead, people follow

2nd P - Purpose: Before you set sail, know your direction

3rd P - Passion: A fire that warms

4th P - Performance: Result don’t lie

5th P - Persistence: “No” is only for today

6th P - Perspective: The seeing is in doing

7th P - Paranoia: Never take your eye off the ball

8th P - Principles: A leader’s cornerstone

9th P - Practice: It never stops

(10th P - Providence: 作者另外加一个第十P，不过这个不是人所能控制的－－运气）

想想刚刚才写过了team player，现在又写到leader了，发现其实team player与leader之间还是差一段距离的。而更重要的是，leadership其实是与职位无关的，无论你在团队里面是team是队员还是队长，其实都可以发挥你的领导才能，因为上面的九个P的能力本身就是跟位置无关的，每个人都可以发挥自己的leadership。我在想，其实leadership是不是就是teamplay的更高层次呢？
